Perbedaan gelombang AM dan FM

KAMU pasti sering mendengarkan Radio, ayo sebutkan stasiun radio yang kamu sukai. Nah coba amati pesawat radio kamu, biasanya ada sedikitnya dua “setelan gelombang” yaitu AM dan FM (radio kegemaran kamu ada di frekuensi berapa?), atau juga mungkin lebih lagi, ada SW1dan SW2 nya juga. Apakah itu? Apa perbedaan gelombang radio AM dan FM, juga SW? inflammable Bagaimana siaran radio bisa dipancarkan dan didengar di pesawat radio kamu, tentu telah kamu baca di rubrik b0cah juga kan (baca disini  ). Sedikit diulas kembali, setelah suara penyiar dan lagu-lagu di studio diubah dari “suara” menjadi “sinyal elektrik”, lalu “menumpang” pada “sinyal gelombang pembawa” (disebut juga di”modulasi”). Kemudian keduanya dipancarkan dan akan berkeliaran di angkasa hingga akhirnya “tertangkap” oleh antena radio kamu. (Gambaran sederhana adalah seperti kamu yang ingin bepergian dengan kendaraan, kamu "menumpang" pada mobil, motor, atau sepeda untuk menuju tujuan kamu) 117970778_f72aa5d11a Nah proses “Modulasi” ini lah yang memiliki berbagai macam jenis , yaitu FM, AM. FM singkatan dari Frequency Modulation, artinya sinyal elektrik dari studio, akan “dibawa” dan disesuaikan frekuensi gelombang pembawa . Sementara AM berarti Amplitudo Modulation, yang artinya sinyal elektrik tadi akan dipancarkan dengan menyesuaikan pada amplitudo gelombang pembawanya. (coba lihat gambar perbedaannya) Oh ya baik gelombang FM dan AM, setiap stasiun radio memiliki “alamat” frekuensinya masing-masing. Untuk gelombang FM memiliki rentang frekuansi dari 87.5 Mhz hingga 108 Mhz (Mhz = Mega Herzt). Sementara gelombang AM memili rentang 530 kHz – 1600 kHz (kHz = Kilo Hz), gelombang AM ini dikenal juga dengan gelombang Medium Wave atau MW. Oh ya ingat ya frekeuensi ini adalah frekuensi bagi "kendaraan pembawa" sinyal suara yang akan "berjalan-jalan" ya. Secara sederhana kamu akan mendengar “desis” lebih jelas pada gelombang FM daripada AM. Juga kualitas suara pada FM begitu jernih dan "stereo". NonburningCup Gelombang FM lebih terdengar “jernih” , namun memiliki daya jangkau siaran yang tidak sejauh siaran AM. Sementara gelombang AM, walaupun dapat merambat jauh, tapi kualitas suaranya tidak sebagus FM dan kadang dipengaruhi oleh cuaca. Gelombang AM yang memiliki panjang gelombang pendek (disebut juga SW = Short Wave, yang bekerja pada frekuensi diatas AM yaitu 1600 kHz sampai 30000 kHz), gelombang ini dapat menjangkau puluhan ribu kilometer, karena dapat dipantulkan oleh permukaan bumi dan lapisan udara, sehingga kamu bisa mendengarkan siaran dari radio Eropa sana. Ada yang menarik dari gelombang pendek atau SW ini. Lalulintas komunikasi antar pilot pesawat terbang dengan menara pengawas di bandara juga dilakukan dengan radio gelombang pendek ini. Jadi jika kamu kebetulan gemar mendengar dan mencari-cari gelombang di "jalur" SW, kamu akan mendengar pembicaraan antara pilot dan bandara.Coba dengarkan lagi siaran radio kesukaan kamu, apakah termasuk FM atau AM?
